olive oil - the main ingredient in our oil blend, since ancient
times olive oil has been valued for use on the skin to clean and moisturize. olive oil also helps to create a stable
lather.
palm
oil - extracted from the pulp of the fruit of the African palm tree, palm oil helps create a hard and long-lasting bar of
soap, as well as contributes to a soap's stable lather.
coconut oil - from the fruit of the coconut tree, coconut oil's main contribution
to a bar of soap is voluminous, fluffy lather. it also helps create a harder bar.
palm kernel oil - extracted from the kernel of the
fruit of the African palm tree, palm kernel oil contributes to a soap's lathering properties as well as increasing firmness
in a bar.
shea
butter - a luxurious oil from West Africa, shea butter comes from the seeds of the shea tree. i love making soap with
shea butter, because it's wonderful to rub directly on the skin, which is what i do with any left on my hands.
